Regional shelter for homeless dogs
The recommended capacity of the regional shelter for homeless dogs, as outlined in a previously prepared Feasibility Study, is to provide space for approximately 70 dogs per month, accommodating, treating, and housing them for a 12-month period.
Accordingly, the essential spaces for dog reception, record-keeping, and data archiving, a room for examination and medical treatment, indoor and outdoor spaces for housing and caring for dogs, an isolation room, and a post-operative care room with a total of 50 individual boxes are planned. Additionally, there is space allocated for conducting socialization tests.
To ensure the smooth functioning of these dedicated areas, auxiliary rooms for food storage and preparation, storage of cleaning and disinfection agents, a medicine warehouse, technical rooms for electrical installations and heating and ventilation installations, as well as equipment and facilities, are provided. Adequate staff rooms, offices, wardrobes, and sanitary facilities are also included.
The planned concept for the regional shelter for homeless dogs encompasses a ground floor with a useful area of 660.45㎡ for closed space and 377.50㎡ for fenced open space.
