Museum – French Military Cemetery
2018
Architectural Design, Structural Engineering, Construction
The design and construction of the new museum represent the culmination of many years of construction, reconstruction, and adaptation. There have been minor and major interventions on every inch of the memorial space of the French military cemetery in Bitola.
The museum, conceived as a memorial house, narrates the military history of the First World War in these Balkan areas with a modern architectural language.

The predominant gray color, both on the facade and in the interior setting space, symbolizes the somber nature of wars.
Constructed entirely in concrete, with no facade openings and only one entrance, the building resembles a bunker — a shelter that respectfully preserves the memory.
